It’s a Woolworths Metro, so yeah, things are a bit pricier than usual. A decent selection of things despite the small size. Some good deals to be occasionally had from the clearance shelf near the freezers (I got almond meal for <$2 per pack a few months ago). Maybe it’s because I’m always there around 7AM, but there’s often some random mess, eg. pile of sandwich loaves on the floor of an aisle, or the attached photo. Also sometimes some of the freezer items are suspiciously covered in ice or the cardboard outer packaging is damaged.
Our go-to supermarket while in Sydney.. They have fresh fruits and their specials are priced well.. There is a pizza corner, sushi and roasted chicken too.. We were there almost everyday. Like this Woolworth Metro a lot! Bring your own shopping bags!!
Everything is well stocked, arranged properly and neat Woolworths Metro store conveniently located in the Green Square town centre near the Green Square Station to service the local community for their daily needs.
Upon arrival at this location, the organised aisles caught my eye. I scoured them, in search of ingredients to my grandma's special chicken and banana pot pie (a family secret so no questions). As I reached for chicken stock, I tripped over my XS trenchcoat (I'm 5'1 lols), but I was promptly caught by a handsome young worker. He had thick arms that hugged my waist softly. I heaved in shock as I stared into his deep, dark eyes. "Are you okay?" he asks, his voice dipped in worry. I clutched my chest as butterflies grew. He brought me to my feet, after sweeping me off them of course. In that moment, my grandma's chicken and banana pot pie was the last thing on my mind. I reassured him that I was fine, asking for his number in a moment of bravery. He kindly declined, in an act of professionalism. So, thank you Woolies Metro Green Square, you saved my life. I thank God for my slippery trenchcoat in my nightly prayers.
A clean, modern Woolworths with everything you'll need to keep your household running smoothly. Staff are friendly and the customers are well behaved in this part of town, though parking can be an issue during peak visible hours.
It’s my first time visiting Australia, and Raymond was AMAZING! Super friendly, and enthusiastic when introducing gift snacks. He even suggested different treats for elders and kids, which was so thoughtful. He recommended a cookie to me, but it was unfortunately out of stock. Still, he patiently checked with other staff about it. Great service! I think having someone like Raymond is truly a big plus for the company.
I love to shop at Green Square Woolworth . The service is amazing and everything is at reasonable prices. I been shopping here since was opened as is my local area. It's so personal and professional. Close to everything .
Woollies Zetland is an amazing store .. Fresh produce everyday I shop .. the meat .. fish .. vegetables.. bread is always fresh .. The Nepal manager and Australian manager .. amazing customer service way and beyond .. please keep up the good work you all put into the store Kind Resgards Charlie
